Muscle Relaxants
Botulinum Toxin A, commonly referred to as anti-wrinkle, muscle relaxant, Tox or ‘Botox’, is an advanced treatment that effectively addresses fine lines and wrinkles resulting from the gradual impact of muscle activity over time. Offering both aesthetic enhancement and therapeutic benefits, Botulinum Toxin A represents a sophisticated solution for those seeking a refined and rejuvenated appearance. Upper Face:Frontalis: Forehead
Targets horizontal forehead lines.
Glabella: Frown
Addresses vertical lines between the eyebrows.
Orbicularis Oculi: Crow's Feet
Treats the fine lines around the eyes.
Lower Face:Depressor Anguli Oris: Downward Smile/Sad Face
Aims to lift the corners of the mouth.
Mentalis: Cobbled Chin

Achieving a natural aesthetic involves skillfully enhancing the vermilion border and providing a refined and balanced appearance to the lips. There are many advantages to dermal filler treatments, one of which is instant, long-lasting results. Dermal fillers typically last up to12-18 months depending on the area of placement. Our dermal filler treatments are designed to restore volume, enhance natural features, and leave you more hydrated.

Pain levels can vary depending on the treated area. As a dentist, I can provide effective local anaesthesia to the peri-oral area using dental injections. Other methods, such as ice packs and numbing cream, may also be used. Dermal fillers contain local anaesthetics, providing a numbing effect once treatment begins.

Please avoid planning any travel within 2 weeks after treatments. This ensures that our clinical team can support you during the critical first couple of weeks post-treatment, addressing any concerns or complications.

Strictly over 18. Most facial treatments for aesthetic reasons are not provided under the age of 25. However, therapeutic treatments for overactive muscles, such as gummy smiles and clenching, or correction of facial asymmetry may be considered.

All treatments are suitable for both men and women. Men also seek out facial rejuvenation treatments. The individualised treatment plans ensure appropriate doses and treatments are provided for men. Some clients may prefer a clinical-based setting for treatments rather than a beauty clinic.

You are not able to have treatments while pregnant or breastfeeding due to the elective nature of these treatments.
Aftercare Muscle Relaxant (Anti-wrinkle)
Do not lie down, have a hot shower, rub the areas, or apply makeup for 4 hours after treatment.
Do not rub or massage the treatment area for 24 hours.
Avoid physical exercise and saunas on the day of treatment.
Cleanse your face gently in the evening after treatment, without rubbing the treatment area.
What to expect after treatment:
The results of the treatment can be seen within a week. The maximum effect may not be seen until 4 weeks after the treatment. The treatment can be effective for up to 4 months after injection (these times can vary depending on the product used and the area treated). Allow at least 3 months between treatments. After injection, the area may have some slight redness and swelling at the site, which normally resolves within an hour, and occasionally you may get a small bruise at the site of injection, this is normal and to be expected when injecting.
A two-week review is scheduled (at no cost) to review and discuss your results.

Aftercare Dermal Fillers
Do not touch, press, rub, or manipulate the injected areas for at least 6 hours after treatment.
Avoid vigourous exercise, sun and heat exposure for 2 days after treatment.
Do not have any cosmetic treatments such as laser, ultrasounds, peels, facials or microdermabrasion for 2 weeks after your treatment.
Avoid the use of Retinol or similar products for 2 days after treatment.
Try to avoid wearing makeup until the day after your treatment.
Avoid Aspirin, Motrin, Ginkgo Biloba, Garlic, Flax Oil, Cod Liver Oil, Vitamin A, Vitamin E, or any other essential fatty acids for 1 week after treatment. (these products increase bleeding and the tendency for bruising.)
If you have had any cold sores or oral herpetic infection in the past, any treatment to your face may trigger reactivation (please tell me prior to treatment, as a prophylaxis treatment may be recommended and prescribed).
What to expect after treatment:
The results of the treatment are expected to last between 6 months to 18 months, depending on the product and the area of placement. After treatment, you may experience mild redness, swelling or tenderness. This is normal and to be expected and settles in a few days. Bruising can occur at sites of the injections and this is normal and usually minimal.
A two-week review is scheduled (at no cost) to review and discuss your results.
Contact me immediately if you experience:
Any eye pain or visual disturbance.
Discoloured blotches, which may look like a spreading bruise.
Skin blanching, which may look like areas of skin whitening.
Severe or increasing levels of pain.
Pustules and/or blisters.
If the skin becomes red, inflamed and hot to the touch.
If skin becomes increasingly swollen or itchy.
Serious complications are rare with careful treatment, but urgent care may be needed to prevent further complications, early review in these cases is essential (please do not wait for the scheduled review if any of the above apply).
